Woodchurch All Saints Cemetery Plans

Building on the wonderful work done by Ken Bourne in his survey of the monuments in Woodchurch graveyard, Bob Chown has produced diagrams for the churchyard, new burial ground and northwest section of All Saints cemetery. The objective is to enable visitors to locate the graves of their relatives and ancestors on their own. Many of the graves are very difficult or impossible to read due to the passage of time. Many are very old. All agreed that help of this type is needed.

These diagrams are representative of these locations and are not intended as absolutely accurate surveyor’s drawings. They were presented at a meeting of the WAG Steering Group Meeting on 27 September 2008 and successfully site-tested that day by members of the group. As in most old graveyards, the terms 'rows' and 'columns' are used loosely and hence the need for the inclusion of some easily identifiable graves for reference.

It is hoped to complete diagrams for the remaining four sections in the future but it was felt that these diagrams on their own would be useful immediately. The diagrams below are in PDF format.
